The applicants, both under government and private schemes, who do not possess computerised national identity cards were allowed to submit their Haj applications along with receipts for grant of CNIC.
But applications of only those applicants would be entertained who submit their original CNIC up to August 10, Secretary, Ministry of Religious Affairs, Wakil Ahmed Khan told APP here on Monday.
He said only those Pakistani pilgrims are eligible for performing Haj who possess computerised national identity cards issued by Nadra.
The secretary said that Nadra has set up special counters at their swift centres for speedy issuance of CNICs to intending pilgrims.
Meanwhile, the ministry, through designated branches of banks, has so far received more than 106,000 applications from intending pilgrims under government scheme for next year's Haj.
About 100,000 intending pilgrims would perform Haj under the government scheme while 50,000 would be private Haj organisers.
The ministry has advised the intending pilgrims to be careful while selecting group operators and must check their registration number issued by the ministry.
A special monitoring cell would be set up at Pakistan House Makkah-al-Mukkarram and Madina-al-Munawwara to review the performance of Haj Service Agents and Haj Group Organisers during Haj.
Under the new Haj policy announced for next five years, about 150,000 people would perform Haj from Pakistan yearly. If the number of applicants increases from 150,000, there would be a ballot.
Under the government scheme, all arrangements including Haj passport, visa, flights, accommodation, transport and tents, would be made by the government.
While Haj Service Agents and Haj Group Organisers registered with the ministry would be responsible for all arrangements under private scheme.
The ministry however would prepare passports for private scheme, as performance of Haj on international passports is not allowed.
The groups of elderly pilgrims would he sent first and accommodated in buildings near to Harmain-e-Sharifain.
This year, the residential accommodation for Hujjaj would be in two categories, which would be named as "Green" and "Yellow". The Green accommodation would be at the distance of 800 meters, while Yellow at the distance of 1,300 meters from Haram.
The intending pilgrims would be airlifted from Multan, Faisalabad and Sukkur to Karachi by special flights for their onward journey to Jeddah. The check-in, custom, immigration and Haji camps are being restored at Multan, Faisalabad and Sukkur.
The pilgrims would stay for 40 days in Saudi Arabia during the forthcoming Haj.
